Today Foundation Stage have been learning about World Climate Day.

We have been thinking about the three R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). We thought about the ways in which we waste electricity and then wrote a pledge on a carbon footprint. The children thought of different things they can do to reduce their carbon footprint such as, "I will turn off the lights....I will turn off the taps."         

In maths we then thought about sorting our rubbish into recycling bins. We looked at the bins we have in school and sorted some rubbish into the correct bins. We then thought about the four bins we have at home and sorted the rubbish into the correct bin identifying the material that each item was made out of.

   

In the afternoon we helped Barnaby Bear sort his rubbish into the correct recycling bin on the computer.
