Remote Learning at Boarshaw Primary School

At Boarshaw Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that all pupils continue to receive a high-quality education if they are unable to attend school but are well enough to learn. This may include periods of absence due to illness, government guidance, or other circumstances that require pupils or whole classes to remain at home.

When remote learning is required, pupils will be provided with work that reflects the learning taking place in school so that they can continue to follow the school’s broad and balanced curriculum. Activities may include worksheets, independent tasks and links to appropriate online learning resources. Our aim is to ensure that pupils remain engaged in meaningful learning and continue to make progress during their time away from school.

We maintain high expectations for all pupils and will provide clear guidance and support to help families access remote learning successfully. Teachers will communicate with pupils and parents where appropriate, provide feedback on work and offer support where needed.

Boarshaw Primary School is committed to ensuring that remote learning is accessible to all pupils, including those with SEND. We use a range of suitable online and offline resources to support learning and to allow pupils to complete work and receive feedback safely.

Where families do not have access to the necessary technology or equipment, the school will work to provide appropriate support so that every pupil can continue their learning from home.

The school’s Remote Learning Policy can be found in the Policy section of our website.

Our Remote Learning Policy and provision will be reviewed in September 2028, or earlier if circumstances require it.
