Year 3 listened to the Greek myth called Daedalus and Icarus. We thought carefully about how Icarus had a set of wings made from feathers and melted wax. We thought carefully about which materials were suitable or not to make wings out of. We designed, created and evaluated our own set of wings.…
Greek Vases

Year 3 looked at Greek artefacts and investigated the colours and patterns which were very common. We used this as inspiration for our own Greek vases. We designed and made our own Greek vases, thinking carefully about what pictures and patterns we could use.
The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch!
11 February 2016
Year 3 took part in the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch. Pupils made their own birdfeeders to hang up round school and in their own gardens at home. We went out and watched to see how many birds we could spot! Miss Riaz will feedback our results to the RSPB.
Greek Myths!

This week in English we have been learning about Greek Myths. We really enjoyed listening to the myth about Theseus and Minotaur! We ordered the events from the myth and used our key vocabulary to perform it for our peers! We have some great actors and actresses in our class!
World Religion Day

Year 3 have been finding out lots about volcanoes as part of their Geography based topic, Tremors. They researched the Earth's layers and found out how and why volcanoes erupt. We developed our map skills by locating the world's most famous volcanoes.
Anti Bullying Assembly

Year 3 Seahorses performed their anti-bullying themed assembly to the whole school and their parents. There was excellent speaking skills being displayed and I think everyone enjoyed their performance! Well done Year 3.
