For our ‘Marvellous Me’ topic this term we have had a very special visitor from Bolton Museum come to visit us at school. We were able to take part in a very exciting workshop that was full of old Victorian toys.

We could not believe how different Victorian toys were to today’s toys. We spent the full morning exploring all of the different toys and getting to know how the different toys worked and moved. We played entertaining Victorian games with our friends, drew first hand observations of old toys and listened to an engaging Victorian story.

The whole Toy Museum was fantastic. We had so many interesting toys to choose from that we could not decide what to play with first.
