Jellyfishs' afternoons have been filled with fun this week and here's why.
We have had fun exploring music from different cultures and listening to traditional Native American music. We then focused on a 'call and response' tribal song, O Hal'Lwe, sung by the Nanticokes. Using our school drums we created a beat and began to respond to the tribes call. We were soon singing and dancing to our new favourite tune.
We then started to design our very own dreamcatchers. Jellyfish thought carefully about the materials they wanted to use to create the desired effect. Finally they evaluated and improved their designs to make them even better. I know Jellylfish class are looking forward to creating their dreamcatchers next week. Keep tuning in to see the finished products!
