In Maths this week, Year 4 have been investigating FACTORS!
We began by using equipment such as cubes to group numbers in different ways as arrays.
This helped us to find and list every factor of the numbers we were investigating before organising them into factor pairs.
We created posters to show our factor pairs in different ways, including drawings of our arrays, factor pair rainbows and number sentences.
Some children moved on to deepen their understanding of factors by trying to identify ABUNDANT numbers! These are numbers whose factors add up to a greater number than the original! (Eg. 48)
