This week the children have been doing work around the theme of Science, espically space. In English, the chidlren have watched a short animation on Johnny delivering a parcel to outer space and they had to write speech for Johnny.  They will complete their English by imagining they are Johnny in Space and how it feels without gravity and also to describe the planet.  In Science the chidlren have been learning about magnets.  They were very surprised to find that not all metals are attracted to magnets!  Ask them which ones.  They also carried out a variety of investigations on magnets to explore their strength by how many paper clips they could pick up with different magnets.  The children first had to make predictions before carrying out their investigations.They have also had the opportunity to buy Science things at the end of the school day.  It's been a fun week and hopefully it has inspired the children to find out more about the world they live in.
