On the 3rd of March 2016 Boarshaw Primary School transformed into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Year 3 Seahorses couldn’t wait to join in the celebrations on this day to celebrate the amazing Harry Potter books by JK Rowling. We arrived in the morning at Platform 9 ¾ with our Hogwarts Express tickets and ran through the magic brick wall! Inside we were greeted by our very own professors! We had a really fun day dressed in our Hogwarts uniforms. Throughout the day we created our own magic potions and spells. We thought carefully about what strange and wonderful ingredients we could use. We created sparkly, magic wands and used these to cast our spells! We played house quidditch against Year 3 Octopus which was so much fun! The rules were complicated but we really tried out best. In the afternoon we created these amazing owl themed cupcakes! Look how fantastic they look! At the end of the day we all received a Harry Potter goodie bag to remind us of the day we had had!
