The children in Year 3 octopus began their new topic this week, PREDATOR! They will be dsicovering about different birds of prey and other predaors from around the world.  We began our English lessons learning about Haiku poems.  We read and discussed Predaor and Prey poem.  The children learnt that a Haiku poem is made from 17 syllables spred over just three lines.  After reading the poems, the children practised actions, faical expressions and intonation when reading the poems.  They rehearsed these and then performed them to each other.  The children were excellent and what was eyally impressive was how the children assessed each other, giving positive feedback and ways to improve.  They all deserved a BAFTA! watch Oscars here we come!
