Year 1 went on a very special hunt this week and they got very excited about what they found! We went for a walk in the Enchanted Woodland, reading clues as we went along. We discovered lots of evidence of REAL FAIRIES! The clues led us to lots of different things that they had left for us like fairy dust, clothes and even a fairy wand! We then started to think about where the fairies might live by looking around school and in the classroom and we decided that the fairies could be living absolutely anywhere so everyone needs to keep an eye out for anything or anyone flying about!
We also used our hunt as inspiration to write about a setting where our fairies might live and produced some excellent writing in English. We thought about using adjectives and conjunctions to make our writing more exciting and listened to each other's ideas.
We have been thinking about what would be in an Enchanted Woodland and decided that it is going to be a very exciting topic!
