Year one took part in STEM week on 14th March -18th March. Our theme was outdoor Space. To begin the week we took a trip around our environment and tried to spot different flowers, plants and trees. We found daisies, dandeliions, lots of daffodils and also had a very nice surprise! We saw a small butterfly on one of the petals but it didn't stay there for long.

During the week Mrs Hanson and miss Coen gave us a project: to design and build an animal home for a woodland creature. We couldn't wait to get started and collected everything: twigs, stones. Acorns, pine cones, leaves you name it we had it! So we were ready and on Thursday afternoon we went outside and began building! With lots of patience, determination and team work we made some amazing animal homes and were very pleased with ourselves.

One last surprise.... We built a massive habitat together! We really enjoyed ourselves this week and were especially glad the sun was shining
