Y1 took part in Fairtrade day. They learnt that food is grown in different parts of the world, they found out which country their favourite food comes from. The children were surprised to learn to that chocolate begins as a cocoa bean so created some maps showing the process of how chocolate ends up in shops as bars. We used Fairtrade chocolate to make some rice krispie cakes and then designed our packaging for our Fairtrade product and ….. of course it included the logo.
