This half term Year 4 have been learning all about the digestive system as part of our topic. 

In English we have been writing explanation texts about how to keep teeth healthy, along with fantasy narratives to describe food's incredible journey through the digestive system!

As part of our Science work, we have been comparing the human digestive system to different animals to see how they break down their food in other ways.

Did you know a cow's stomach has 4 chambers? They must regurgitate their food to digest it properly!

To round off the topic we created 'wearable digestive systems' using cotton aprons and fabric paints. 

From now on, we won't take a bite of a sandwich without thinking about the amazing process it will begin!
