The Fairtrade Team!
Welcome to the webpage for the Fairtrade Team at Boarshaw Primary School!
What does the Fairtrade Team do?
The Fairtrade Team meet regularly to think of ways to raise awareness and money for Fairtrade. Pupils in the Fairtrade Team are passionate about ways in which they can make a difference. You can keep track with the decisions we make and discussions we have by looking at the minutes from our meetings, which are attached below.
Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers. It's about supporting the development of thriving farmers and work communities that have more control over their futures and protecting the environment in which they live and work. And it's your opportunity to connect with the people who grow the produce that we all depend on.
Did you know we are a Fairtrade Active school? We have also recently renewed this award and also have a Fairtrade Aware award. At present we are working towards achieving our Fairtrade Achieve Award.
You can find out more about Fairtrade by clicking this link here.
Who is on the Fairtrade Team?
Pupils from each class are on the Fairtrade Team. They can be easily identified as they will be wearing a Fairtrade Team badge. If you have any suggestions or comments about ways to help raise awareness about Fairtrade speak to the team member in your class or to Mrs Beehan.
