Year 1 received a visit from a spaceman!

The spaceman arrived to much excitement and quickly got to know the children’s names. He introduced himself and told the children exciting stories about his space adventures and answered questions about his job as an astronaut. He talked about other famous astronauts including Tim Peake and Neil Armstrong.

    

Year 1 were able to share facts about the astronauts which they had been researching.

We were also able to fly rockets, aiming to hit the bullseye. The spaceman allowed us to take part in a material workshop where we selected the best materials to make a spacecraft with and then he threw asteroids at them to see which materials were the most suitable! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and impressed the spaceman with our fantastic behaviour.
