Summer term - Beachcombers

This term we will be learning all about the beach. We started our topic by watching a real life video of a typical day at the beach. We have been researching all the things we might see on teh beach.

 In literacy we have been reading the story 'The Snail and the Whale' by Juila Donaldson. We have been able to write about the story using expanded noun phrases, similes and commas in a list. This week we will be planning our own beach adventure story. 

In Science we will be learning about habitats for plants and animals on the beach and in the sea. We will be naming sea creatures and looking at food chains.
